Horrible experience
First the campsite was not conducive for multiple tents and cars. The reservation was for 8 people and 4 cars and required approval from the host who should have declined it knowing the size of his site. There is one narrow drive way in and maneuvering 3 trucks around was a joke. There is one site and it is infested with red ants, a bee hive in the tee above and an insane amount of mosquitoes. We ended up leaving early and staying at Hobo Campground right on the river with far fewer mosquitoes. The neighbors dogs barked aaallll night long, not a place for peaceful sleep in the wilderness. We came camping to reduce stress, this place was not it. We were also sold religion by the host and his brother and debated with by the brother when we said we were not interested. Very inappropriate and uncomfortable. Our second night as we sat preparing dinner and hanging by the fire they began weed wacking the hill on our site for at least hour until I asked him to do it another time. Then that night was the final straw with a loud and intense verbal altercation happening in the hosts residence with yelling and cussing and was very aggressive sounding. This was at bed time for again at least an hour. We were all in our tents trying to go to sleep and felt very unsafe and trapped. We woke early the next day, packed up and took off to stay at a real campground and enjoyed the rest of our trip.

Danny is awesome and very genuine. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone how just wants to get away for this concrete world.

It’s a nice set up with a fire pit, hose, and it’s super convenient to order wood instead of having to lug it up. We cooked/smoked up food and we also got the eggs. It’s the mountains so be prepared for some crawlies but we didn’t have any issues.

Beautiful space! Everything is as described. I do wish there was a picnic table at the site (don’t know why I didn’t think to bring my collapsible one). My dogs had a blast. Creek is seasonal which was a bummer but we were close enough to Lake Isabella, where we were able to let the dogs and kids play in the water!

The owners were very hospitable and sweet. Had a great time camping! Perfect location for exploring the Sequoia National Forest :)

Overall Danny was a very pleasant and accommodating host. WiFi access for the day was $20 and was required to pay for each day of stay with no other option. Firewood bundles were 40% more than the gas stations down the street and had less wood. However, the eggs were worth every penny and were delicious. I ended up finding a gorgeous dispersed camping site 40 min away on the Kern River with sweeping views at no charge. At the price point I was a little disappointed but happy to have gotten familiar with the area.
